While meandering through the back roads in the Chevreuse Forest, I saw the golden colors of the setting sun play through the leaves, reflecting and refracting the richness of the warm tones.

The French countryside conveys a quality of softness that I haven't experienced in any other country I've visited.
I felt that playing with an abstracted version of pointillism - utilizing multi-layered larger dabs of color - would best express that soft feel.
