relationships
Family
Family has strong bonds.
Unknown to me I learn along the way.
Hope rides in the front seat as I drive
past the acres of fallow thought and regressive actions.
Forgive my faults and shortcomings
as we make this journey.
I love you like a butterfly on the seat of a gentle breeze
caressing the sky with color, light, love
and strength in beauty.
Another Me, Another You?
Layers in a cake where no man can reach,
found on the ground.
Hunting through the trees I found another me.
What am I to do, seek me out and distance you?
Where are the lights to guide a way tonight?
Found out, so now what?
Trees bend light as light through a prism
changing color from green to blue.
Could that really be you?
Stars shine through the shadows
cast on the forest floor
leading to your door.
Waking nights, sleepless days.
Who needs to feed the hungry in their time of need?
All at once I strive to last long enough
to move the pieces of life's puzzle
just a few more times.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
